Many believe that our current high oil prices are in part a result of bad environmental law that was lobbied in through environmental activists. Those who believe our current situation is cause from environmentalism say that the environmentalists are so often hypocritical. On one hand they attack EIRs and projects then they complain about the consequences of their linear thinking. It’s just amazing they say.

Indeed, no one can deny that everybody has to breath the air and drink the water, so I doubt there are many who believe pollution is best. Having sat on committees for hours, sat in planning commissions for multiple nights on end, having written NPDES BMPs and permits, and having assisted with ride share programs and AQMD groups to come up with viable and reasonable environmental decisions; I cannot say that environmentalists are as genuine as they purport to be.

It’s just obvious to me that the FRINGE environmentalists have done more to prevent America from reaching her full potential than any other single group, in any other civilization in the History of Mankind! Of course, this is merely my opinion based on years of experience, vast amounts of research and a tremendous intake of real observation.

Does this mean I am right and the environmentalists are wrong? Well, yes, but to their credit occasionally, very rarely they do come up with interesting solutions and worthy points of contention. Thus, we might wish to keep a line open for them, but we also ought to take everything they say, every report they make and every stance they take; with a grain of salt.

Indeed, it goes without saying that taxes government does, well, it does not do well. Every major bubble burst in our economy always occurs due to inept government intervention, bad regulatory policy, bad tax policy incentives and/or lobbyist favors for one company over another. The list of mistakes made by politicians and our government are just too numerous to mention.

Presently, we are in a bit of hurt due to the subprime lending calamity, which sunk the overheated housing market. Now we hear politicians telling us that we can bail out our economy by investing in alternative energies, green technologies and environmental innovations. Interesting indeed, sure it makes sense leverage such technologies, the only problem is when government gets involved and pushes too hard. Next, they will start unbalancing the free-market playing field and diverting monies to these sectors.

As soon as they do entrepreneurs, corporations, vulture capitalists, investment banks and the like will start lining up to get some of this money flow. Since, the money flow will be so prevalent there will be no reason to go and create a new start-up that is actually viable, might ever earn a profit or even or even offer a reasonable ROI on energy savings for the buyers of the products or services. You see folks this is EXACTLY how the government tax bubbles in the marketplace, rather than letting the free-market do what it does best.

The free-markets deliver everything tax mistakes buy, sell or trade and they do it with efficiency. Why, because there is a profit motive to do so. If the government creates free-give-aways or offers tax incentives for one company over another, or one method or product over another; they favored method will become inefficient, that’s just a given.

Politicians need to stop steering investment dollars into green industries, rather the consumer should be allowed to choose which makes the most sense for them, this way the most efficient products and services will be the ones which help us into energy independence. Dear Citizen, the green tech sector is the next Bubble, it should be obvious. If you are enjoying things like the telecoms crash, DotCom bust, or the real estate and banking crisis fine, but if you are getting tired of this nonsense, why not look outside and observe what is really going on here?

There is no reason to keep repeating these ‘boom and bust cycles’ and sector rotations in our economy, no reason at all. Think on this.

Well, here we go again, as the United States flirts with a full-on recession we find large corporations cutting labor, cutting costs and paying their bills as slow as molasses. Ask any small business person, who has lived thru a business cycle and has corporate accounts what happens to his accounts receivables during recessionary downturns.

Yep, they become the bank for the large company, and corporations are never short on excuses for paying slowly either. It’s always something, “we need” this paperwork or that. Sometimes they just conveniently lose invoices and next thing you know you are being paid some 120-days in the rears, if you are lucky? You become a bank, covering their account payable liabilities.

CFOs specialize in squeezing out every little bit of profit, interest, and dollar in order to keep their shareholders happy, but this slow payment is outrageous and their dispassionate attitude is counter-productive to any real or perceived business relationship, that the small business thought they may have had. Indeed, you can tell the “built to last” companies by the way they handle their small business vendors during a recession.

One thing small businesses must realize is to not get behind on their collections, after all, if you pay any large corporation their bill past its due date, well, they will shut off your phone, power, TV, credit card, yellow page ad, or kick you out on the street if you do not pay your lease. Do not allow Corporate America to put the shaft to you, besides who caused the recession in the first place, I guarantee you that it was not the small business person.

Many online article writers take Sundays off and this seems rather silly because Sunday is a perfect day for writing. If they were smart, they might take Wednesday off from their writing endeavors instead. The best thing you can do if you want to live and honest and good life is to skip church on Sunday, and do a little writing and reflecting. There is no need to go to a church to remind you to be a good person each week, if you already are a good person.

Of course, if you are an evil person, then maybe you should go to church. Let’s assume for the moment that you are a good person you do not need to go to church to listen to someone tell you to be good or quote scriptures from an old ancient book. Instead of listening to all those sermons, why not write articles on why being a good person is a really good idea? Writing your own sermons so to speak in the form of articles.

Why not write about the moral decay in our society, why not write about what we can do to be better human beings, and live together on this planet in harmony and why not give solutions? Why not skip church and write articles; articles, that means something, that help enlighten others?

You can do a lot more good helping other people by writing articles on Sunday, than going to a church and listening to repeats and re-runs of what you’ve already heard or already know. I’m sure the church will not care if you send them a check for the tightening.

It is much better to reflect on the previous week, rather than trying to fill guilty about it. You should focus on the future and help others focus on their future through your article writing. Please skip church, and don’t ever go back again, instead write very good articles that help people. Use your tithing to buy some better word processing software, become your own church.

Many folks will tell you that they are fighting for justice and when you ask them about it and find out a little bit of their history you will find that they were discriminated against at some point in their life and they want to make sure it never happens to anyone else again. They tell us that this is their inspiration, but I’d like to explain some of my life experience and observation of such folks.

You see, those who would be willing to inflict the most pain on other are generally those who have had the most pain (physical or emotional inflicted upon them). Would you like some examples? What about Adolph Hitler who even titled his book; “My Struggle” and later inflicted torture and pain on entire groups of society and later caused the worst World War in History?

Would you like a more contemporary example? Sure, well there are millions of bloggers and folks in online forums who are constantly attacking and lashing out, they are from groups who perceive to have been victimized by discrimination. They then rise up and call for justice, all the while doing injustice with harsh words to others online, often shouting others down and calling them unbelievable things.

You see, if you use discrimination as your inspiration or as a means to justify your actions then the real problem in the world is not that which you attack, but rather it is inside of you and how you now view the world. You are viewing the world through the eyes of a damaged soul, one that needs to be made hole, but you cannot get that done until you forgive others and admit your own revenge motivations and evil intentions.

Sorry to be the one to break this news to you, but don’t shoot the messenger Mr. and Mrs. Obama.
